For Wallpaper’s November issue, focusing on the top 20 highlights from ten global destinations, Their fashion director Sébastien Clivaz commissioned legendary lighting designer Thierry Dreyfus to capture the light of these territories – albeit from the studio – and give each one its own special cover. The Paris-based designer has produced some of the most memorable fashion shows of the past decade for the likes of Dior Homme, Helmut Lang and Jil Sander, to name just a few. He has also created many monumental lighting installations, including his transformation of Notre Dame for Paris’ Nuit Blanche 2010 and the illumination of the city’s Grand Palais for its reopening in 2005. but this was his first editorial photographic commission.
